Joyce W. Haniford, 53, of 307 S. Center, Boswell, died at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette, on Saturday, May 8, 1999 at 7:30 a.m. She had been in ill health since February, 1999. Born on July 9, 1945 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Wilma (Jones) Carr. Mrs. Haniford had resided in Benton and Warren counties all of her life. She attended Attica schools and graduated in 1963 from Pine Village High School. She was a homemaker and had worked as a disc jockey (Lady J) for the past nine years. Her marriage was to Robert “Bud” Haniford in Waynesville, N.C. on July 18, 1963. He survives. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Oxford and was a volunteer for the March of Dimes. Also surviving, are; one daughter, Elizabeth L. “Zee" Haniford Patton of Kentland; one sister, Janice LeCleir of Attica. Visitation was Wednesday at Hahn Funeral Home, Oxford.
